Biotique Bio Aloe Vera Face & Body Sun Lotion SPF30
I have tried a couple of sun screens since January. I wanted to try and find affordable options for hands and feet. Today I am going to review the first of the lot. I usually use at least SPF 50 for face. For body, I use lesser SPF too. This is a biotique product and has SPF 30 with UVA/UVB protection. Let’s see how it fared.

My Take on Biotique Bio Aloe Vera Face & Body Sun Lotion SPF30:
Like all the other biotique sun lotions, this is think heavy lotion but runny in consistency. It is easily to spread out but takes time to get absorbed. I have combination skin but choose a sunscreen for oily to avoid greasiness. The fragrance is not too my liking. It is heavily scented that even a person with no sensitive nose cannot tolerate it. Worst part is it lasts long. This gives a nice soothing sensation on application. This does a good work as a sunscreen but makes my skin extremely dull. It makes my skin appear darker than usual. It gives moisturizes well. After a few hours, it gives a stretchy feeling.
Pros of Biotique Bio Aloe Vera Face & Body Sun Lotion SPF30:
• Moisturizes well.
• Decently priced.
• Not greasy.
• Soothing sensation.
Cons of Biotique Bio Aloe Vera Face & Body Sun Lotion SPF30:
• Heavily scented.
• Makes my skin lifeless.
• Makes skin stretchy after a few hours.
• Not travel friendly.
• Takes times to absorb.
I liked the other variants sunscreen lotions from Biotique. I am just experimenting with their creams. I am sure this one has to be skipped for all skin types.
IMBB Rating:
2/5

Absolutely!!
hi fahveen! i agree about the scent…its very sharp! but i am in love with the runny watery texture coz this is the only texture i can use on my face in peak summers (my skin is like oil kadhai in summers, and then sweat).
my only complaint is tht they havent mentioned in the ingredient list abt sunscreens. i called biotique customer care to know wht ingredients they added to make it a sunscreen, they took my email add and promised to reply back with the answer…they dint reply. bad biotique!!
It makes my skin strechy 🙁 I have combination skin…
Too bad that biotique didn’t reply 🙁
i think biotique products are a hit or a miss. I dont understand how a herbal product can be overly scented. thanks for the heads up! 🙂
You are welcome 🙂
nice review Fahveen!
I think their packs are good, and some of their creams are good only for dry-skinned people.
I am using their green apple shampoo, its ok,and doesn’t dry out my extremely-dry hair.
Thanks Shreya… Biotique has its own list of hits and misses…
I have to review the suncote gel – it`s just amazing – helps save my skin all through the summers – this one doesnt mention the sunscreens – is chandan the only one ? then it wouldnt offer much protection.
Oh it`s been reviewed already. It works really well – and I`m also interested in the galderma one that Rati di had reviewed ^_^
